    I loved the picture along with the poem. It wouldn’t have worked without the picture.
    Obviously, the poem explained the picture by the celebrated artist. . . 😀🌴

  2. Yes, agreed. With my “shahai” photo-poems, the words and image work together (ideally) to make something a bit bigger than either the poem or photo could do alone. *This* piece is what I call a caption tanka, where the poem simply describes the picture. It’s a form of ekphrastic poetry. :- )
